LCD Screen Protecter 5D3.

Anybody have any recommendations ?

My newly purchased 5D is getting sunscreen smears from my nose.

Not cleanable? I never was crazy about the screen protector, especially when using Live View for focusing.

Hoodman's screen protectors may be worth considering.

They all get smears. Mine just loves my greasy nose. Just wipe it off.

It's cheap and gets the job done.

I thought I read once that you can get the LCD screen replaced by Canon for a hundred bucks or so. If that's true, I'd just leave it be and replace it when it gets too scratched for your taste. But then, I kind of prefer the look of a well-used camera.
In any case, a screen protector won't keep the sunscreen off any better.

I've never used screen protectors in the past. With my recent purchase of the 5D3 from B&H, they included a Velo screen protector which I reluctantly tried and ended up really liking it. With it on, people can't tell I am using one as it fits snugly on the screen and is nice and thin. It is made of optical glass according to the specs.

I use the Clear Coat or Invisible Shield in my Camera LCD for minor dings but more importantly the term here referred to as "Nose Grease". Without the above on the LCD I Have to keep cleaning the LCD constantly. A work flow solution.

A screen protector will still smear from your nose.

GGS glass is what I used. thick, but robust.

I use to buy screen protectors, now I don't even consider it.

i only use one on my 5d-3 its the JYC optical glass,some times its hard to find but it work fine and gives you full screen without any problems,i use it for the protection only nicks or damage,but it will smug like all the others and if you ever need to remove it comes of easy.

Expert Shield Screen Protector. Got them on Amazon. they go on easily, no bubbles, are completely washable and reusable. Get these and you won't be sorry.

Have always used screen protectors on my cameras.
I only remove it when selling the camera. Makes the camera screen look like new.
