I should have reserved front sit at Little Darlings- 24 hour nude show :-) but no cameras allowed

I used to know a limo driver, he is doing another job now, if we are agorup say of 4 , he will drive us to one of the gentlemen's club, he gets a minimum of $200 from the club, he even gives us $50 for drinks he keeps the $150 and we get free ride.

Cheers,

Really love that first picture, Baanman.

I kind of feel like that last picture would look better with the left edge chopped off--gives me the impression that that tall pine is the focus of attention.

thanks moko! the last one was actually a drive by shot from the bus I was on. It was in Yukon, Canada.

here's some more similar shots.

I enjoyed sitting on the wooden steps, just sipping a hot drink (coffee or tea) with headphones on listening to music in the early mornings. I would rather sit on those pool seatings but they were rather wet.

beautiful place. cant wait to see more :D

so how was having the a7 instead of the 5d for your trips? I've been using the a7 a lot more but I'm actually missing dslr handling hehe. but for sure though, having the a7 is a pleasure to carry around.

not sure if I mentioned, but I ended up with the expensive black label bag.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com …_oskar_s_one_day_bag.html (external link)

I find the bag's size to be pretty good. I'll be honest, when I first got the bag I did not think much of it. Having the price tag of $220, I was expecting quality as to how most thinktank bags are. But nah.. I didn't feel much to it. Function and compartment wise it works. I'm able to keep my a7r and 3 lens, 2 extra batteries and charger. The charger I would leave behind in the room during my stay. Other things I have in the bag were micro fiber cloth, sd cards (one of the side pocket has slots for them), small lens pen, sensor gel stick. I also threw in my filters with the filter pouch. Made the bag more bulkier obviously but it wasn't in the way. Few thing's I would like changed would be to have the back pouch a zipper type instead of button snaps, and also a removable shoulder strap because sometimes I just like to carry the bag. with that said, I would like the bag more if it was cheaper. I really don't think it's worth $220....

I really like the think tank's retro 5's interior, but I couldn't use the bag so that went back. very bulky. I also wouldn't be able to fit the 2+ lenses with the charger well and would have to go with the bigger size for a better fit, but no I need a small bag.

I'm not trying to sell the black label bags, I'm just giving you my personal feeds :P

Nice set up, the charger is so small bring it with you. it was foggy in Aalska, Sept is already cool season. No luck with northern lights?

thanks. yes the charger is small, but I want easy access to the lens so I wanted to leave the charger behind in the room and there wasn't any reason for me to have it with me. The charger was stacked with the 35mm or 55mm lens, I didn't want to stick it in the front pockets to avoid bulk. The most I've used was 1.5 battery power and I had another fully charged battery. I was expecting to take a lot of pictures but that didn't happen hehe.

It was not that much cold, I wanted to experience colder. The coldest it got was about 52 deg. We were disappointed that we didn't see much ice.

this is pretty much all the ice we saw. Well there were more scattered along the way but they just looks like floating ice cubes. At Tracy Arms Fjord pass through.

A closer look near the ship.

IMAGE: https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2950/15405639311_c6a7188c30_b.jpg

I over packed thinking and hoping it would be cold. Also brought 2 tripods and didn't really use them. One night I decided to use it just because I brought them. Most of the time the ship is moving and if at dock it was in the day time.

Shot towards town with another cruise ship docked from the ship's deck. I was on the princess ship. We didn't like where we docked on all the stops, always far from town that would require some walking or taking a shuttle into town and back.

IMAGE: https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2945/15222051720_8dfbc80aab_b.jpg

During the day I was hoping to do some slow shutter work on the waters during the shore excursions but I chose not to take the time to set up a tripod+filters while I was with my friend. I wanted to take pictures of the lady friend instead  :p

I did get a couple of hand held slow shutter work on the falls. was a shakey and blury shot but sharpening helped.

sadly, no northern lights. the days were over casted, didn't even make a good sun set. I also didn't camp out at night as I have planned, instead I wanted to spend time with the gal and get some sleep.
