I've been looking around the web for various methods to achieve around 5:1 magnification. I'm looking to do it cheap as opposed to spending £800 for the Canon MP-E 1-5x!! I think I know the various cheap(ish) ways to do it but I wanted some advice on what would be the next step on upgrades from my existing equipment. What I have so far is -
Tamron 90mm f2.8 SP Di USD
Kernel extension tubes - 31mm & 21mm (i do have the 13mm but the electrical contacts are bust)
I also have the Canon 50mm 1.8 which I'm thinking could be used somewhere in the equation?
I'm wondering whether buying a 28mm prime of some sort (to reverse) and bellows is a good idea and not using existing equipment...
Or is there another more efficient way to do it by adding to what I already own? I'm not over fussed about ETTL & aperture control but it would obviously be a bonus!
As a rough guide I was looking at this (I know it's nikon!) http://www.agataurbaniak.com/photolog/gear
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Just posted this in the sharing section as well by accident sorry!
