You haven't posted much, a name change is technically possible, but getting it done might be difficult.

If I remember correctly, you can't "close" an account. You can stop using it, but with the exception of being Banned by the Admins, your account stays open for ever (just in case you change your mind and wish to re-engage with the forum).

The bigger issue is creating a second account. I think this is looked at in a very poor light by the Admins. (I recall a thread a few years back were a guy was basically arguing with himself using two different user names. Both accounts were banned). As a result, I would not recommend this solution!

Personally I think the reason that your name is dumb is a good enough reason to change it - but of course it's not up to me!

If you do that you will get banned.

Just come up with a name and apply for the change.
