Due to over-socializing, I missed the first pass. Oh well, it was a rather tame/short demo, I guess being that the plane is still in Beta phase.

Yeah they said because of software glitches that they wouldn't be doing anything crazy until next year probably. I would have preferred to see the F22 or an F18 demo because of that...lol

Last three are great. I believe the F-35 will be making an appearance at Nellis' show this year.

Really impressive shots. You've got a lot of detail and exsposure is spot on. We have already bought this beauty so hopefully will see it in the UK before long.

Number 4 is very good. Until I saw this photo I didn't know the exhaust points down. Pretty neat.

Were you using the 70-200 & 2x ? Any thoughts on buying the 7DII ?

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

Oh, it that why. I thought the F-35 demo was bland. And I missed some of it because I was at a concession stand buying a grossly over priced $4 soda.

Yeah, I was using the 70-200 w/ the 2x on my 7D. And used the 100-400 w/ 1.4x on the 1DX.

I've already put in my pre-order for the 7D2. Shame I didn't have it to use. While I'm sure I'll shoot some stuff here and there, and try to do more video of the kids with it, the next full round of shooting tests won't be until probably Chino Airshow next May.

Yes the demo was pretty tame. The narrator said that they were limited in what they could demo. They are awaiting some software upgrades. Not sure if you saw the static that was on display.

I hid under the chalet most of the time. Too lazy and too hot to stroll around the statics. :)

The Marine version is the STOVL version, the Air Force and Navy versions will be traditional fixed nozzles.
