Awesome setup... congrats.

Obviously you have more common sense than this gal. I swear... she left this whole thing unattended while talking on the phone a few steps away on the beach where she laid her belongings.

QUOTED IMAGE

That looks just like an $18 tripod I had for point and shoots...

A high quality tripod is an investment, I went with the Really Right Stuff line and haven't looked back.

I like my CT-3472 so much I'm going to replace my bigger Gitzo monopod with a Fiesol and will also likely add a CT-3442 at some point for something a bit more compact.

Lol :)

So i received the ballhead. Its heavier than i thought but it is what it is. However, it feels very qualitative and the knobs are easy to play with! Looking forward as to when my legs arrive to mount it!

My brother is learning in the video segment and rented a 2000$ manfrotto tripod for filming. And for 200$ i find this ballhead at least as good as this prograde tripod for filming! Have to use it in real life but my first thoughts about this is that it cant be beaten for 200$!

Feisol is quality. You should be good. I have their tripod and monopod (Feisol CF Tripod (3342)
Feisol CF Monopod (1401)) and used them to support the 300 2.8 and 500 f4 for years with no issues.

And yes that's a 300 2.8 she's holding. Hopefully she's insured. What was she shooting?
