What is the current correct size for still images in a slide show using Fotomagico including dpi. I was guessing 1280 x 720 at 96dpi?

DPI doesn't matter in the world work (screen, videos, etc).

I have never used Fotomagico but I would image you should export your images so they're 1920px on the longest dimension.

Windows machines are typically 96dpi. But really the resolution is the only thing you need to worry about.
