Andrew, those are outstanding Fox shots. Excellent color and the Fox looks very healthy, not sure I've seen one that looked that good before. Steve

Some guy on the German Canon forum said only until the end of 2015. He had bought an IS and an AF unit to make sure he had the parts later if he needed them. Since has sold the lens and is now trying to sell the parts. Anything to what he says?

The most successful stuff so far has been the annual deer rut that has just come to an end: Deer Rut 2014 ![]() Paul

I imagine the speed and your focus skill. Killer shots. Thanks guys! The most difficult thing is to follow the planes with that big lens. Not easy to swing it around handheld. The focus kind of does it's own job myphotographic wrote in post #17249696 ![]() I've owned the lens for a couple of months now and I don't regret buying it for a second (although I have just dropped it off for a service with Canon, due to the tripod collar not rotating properly). Was on FRIAT and am tempted to try some other sites when I go back again! Ha-ha... Yes, F-35's not showing up was disappointing... Other than that it wasn't much waiting going around on RIAT. Action all day long

Following a brief chat with one of the service technicians and in case it's of interest to anyone, Canon will support service on the lens until 2017. So if you think it'll need a service at some point, probably a good idea to put a note in the diary for late 2016! Paul
