Some guy on the German Canon forum said only until the end of 2015. He had bought an IS and an AF unit to make sure he had the parts later if he needed them. Since has sold the lens and is now trying to sell the parts. Anything to what he says?

Following a brief chat with one of the service technicians and in case it's of interest to anyone, Canon will support service on the lens until 2017. So if you think it'll need a service at some point, probably a good idea to put a note in the diary for late 2016! Paul
