Are there any photographers who regularly use the 1D4 for portraits/weddings? I see the value of this camera for sports and wildlife photography, but I would love to see the work of photographers who also use it for portraits. Thanks.

The operating range is only -1 EV compared to the 5D3 -2 EV and the crazy 6D and 7D2 -3EV, however, how this really translates into real world application is anyones guess.

It's horrible actually. If you're selling a 5D3 these days, it's a lot less than what a used 1DIV goes for, however, if you want to buy a used 5D3 it's more expensive than a used 1DIV.

It's my secondary body (1D4) for weddings and event photography... I'd say my dual comb is a 1Ds3/24-70L and 1D4/135L, for the most part... I may switch the 135L for a 70-200 2.8L IS if needed for extra reach... Hi. My name is Butch...

I do struggle at times with the tonal range of the 1d4 for outside wedding work and was curious as to how others might be using the 1d4 for portrait work in higher light contrasts.
