If we rumor it enough, perhaps they will build it... but good to know your GAS is still alive and well. :)

That thing would eliminate like 4 lenses for me.

I'd be happy with a 40-100 1.8 too.

I find that instead of making a rule about the number of lenses, I just limit my total investment in glass. And if I've hit my limit, I'm done buying, or I'm selling something to buy something else. For example, I sold me 400 DO early this year, and with the proceeds added a Tamron 150-600, along with a few other lenses I had been wanting. I don't feel bad about it since my total investment hasn't changed, just the number of lenses. :)

My lens budget is depleted, I just bought something on sale that allows me to shoot, but in a different way, and it cost as much as a used 5D (love sale prices this time of year). Time for a new hobby, just need to find a range close by.

I do this. and about twice a year I add 1,000 bucks each time. So over a the course of a few years I'm up to a 2500 body and 7500 in glass.

Give me another 3 years and.... oh wait. I'm done :p

I budget around $2k a year for camera gear. That is great for some things but when you want longer lenses for birding..... it takes a while to save up the cash.

Would that be called "passing gas" then?

This thread gave me a good chuckle. Thank you.

I'm content with my Canon gear... until I think about bulk and weight and then the Fuji X-T1 calls to me, hehehe. The nostalgia factor of the traditional controls is a strong temptation.
