Since this "stacking" has happened before and they honored the pricing my guess is that it wasn't a mistake. Imagine the amount of refurb products they shipped last night in the short amount of time it was open. Great way to clear inventory.

Without "intentionally" devaluing the product. Still anyone get a shipping confirmation? I'm worried.

I hope so and I agree... CPW crashed it got hit so hard with activity! hahaha

They didn't have much stock of anything good (lens wise especially) and it didn't work on 6D and 5D's, so it appears it may have been staged to clear out the 60D/70D and other cheap items they probably have a lot of.

The charge hit my CC... I am just waiting to see if I get a shipment notification now. I checked my order status and it says "inventory fulfilled"... Not sure what that means in their terms, though... To me, it sounds like maybe they have sent the information to the warehouse to stage for shipping... Would be nice :D

Some people on Slickdeals are reporting cancellations, others reporting status shows "fulfilled", but not yet shipped.

I would gladly have taken one of the 60D/70D's off their hands at a 38% discount.

It looks like the earliest orders are being processed. I know of a few cancellations, but they were mostly people being greedy and ordering multiples.

My order is "fulfilled". :-)

Given the proximity to end of the month, I'm going to guess that
anything that can be shipped (especially some of the models that
were slower movers) will be shipped.

although yeah, I could imagine instances of multiples and flippers
could be cancelled.

Here's an odd question. In my rush to get in on the deal last night I checked out as guest. I didn't want to create an account at that time. I've not got an account but don't see anyway to check order status outside of an account, and my account doesn't have any orders. Is there anyway to connect an order to an account that didn't place it?

I was one of the 8,000, and by the time I got on - the bug was fixed. I even tried to go straight to the Canon Direct website, but obviously I didn't know what to look for or how to access the 38% off.

I guessing you're trying to drive site traffic, and cutting out the stop at the website would defeat that purpose, so how about a subscription service?

For a small (smaaaallll) premium (which I would be glad to pay because of the value of your site) you could send the hot deals first to the subscribers (maybe give them 20 minutes head start prior to announcing hot deals to the masses). There is good value here, as this deal alone, people saved hundreds on a single purchase!

Keep the free service for the regular guys, but offer a higher, faster level of notification for the VIP's.

Thoughts?

(I'm thinking that this is such a great idea that I should get a trial subscription!)
