Had the pleasure of making it out to my local track for some charity vintage races. Was able to put my 70-200mm 2.8 to work that I picked up a few months ago too. New to shooting Motorsports so have tips would be great.

If you are new to this, you are already doing great! For suggestions, I would say try to mix up your shots a bit more next time. Try faster and slower shutter speeds and consider using a wider lens also to get a more atmospheric shot. I try to move around as much as I can also to get as much variety to my shots as I can, however, I know it can be difficult with restrictions for safety, etc.

If I were to be super picky, I would say focus on the closest headlight when you are doing a front 3/4 pan (fourth shot), but that may just be my personal preference.

Looks like some killer cars out there and you are doing awesome for just starting out! Keep up the good work and keep posting up here!

Thanks for the feed back, I will work on the 3/4 panning shots. Hopefully make it out to their next event in Nov and improve on my shots.
