I visited Arlington for the first time. I only had about 1.5 hours, so it was near impossible to see much, leave alone take good shots. I just managed to catch the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns, and a couple of other shots. Kinda disappointed with the changing of the guard shots - it was my first time and I didn't stand in the right spot to get the shots I wanted. Didn't have time to hang around another hour for the next guard change unfortunately. It was also a terrible day for photography (lovely day otherwise :)), warm and bright midday sun.. all photos taken around 11am or so.

All photos taken with the 6D and either the 24-70 F2.8 II or the 70-200 F4 IS.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

^ Thanks for sharing those shots. I definitely will go back and spend a longer time there next time.

Yes I would love to aswell. Unfortunately, we only spent a couple hours there at the end of our trip.

I got to go here also when I was a freshman in HS which was about 9 years ago. I got to see the changing of the guard too. Pretty neat stuff. I wasn't into photography back then and I want to return to DC again to shoot all the monuments.
