I'm still wondering why you didn't do a quick test shot before posting. You said it focuses, right?

Test shots are fine. It focuses, but eventually while focusing, it pushes the front element loose and it falls out.

I have tried and tried and cannot get it to "snap" into place and remain there.

Sucks because the glass is perfectly fine and the images are fine.

I am looking at replacing it with the Sigma 24-70 2.8

Well see. I already have a Yashica 50 1.9 and a Minolta Rokkor-x 50 1.4

I got 50mm prime covered....just don't have an AF one but that's ok.

I really like the 24-70 length on ff.
