Do you guys find that you can hold the lens steady enough at 1/160 to get sharp photos? Trying to decide if I am going with a ND and regular OCF setup, or if I need to go with a HSS setup.

I can shoot my 135 at 1/60th all day and get tack sharp images lol.

I can't do that, I need 1/200 at least, but if I control the movement of my subject I go a bit slower.

This lens makes a sheep look nice, amazing really

Think it is any difference in the bodies being used? Mk II vs Mk III?

Edit: I didnt realize that the Mk III was only 22.3 mp, I am used to people complaining about how the D800 shows even the slightest shooting imperfections.

I have observed handhold at 1/200 is good and 1/300 most suits me. I have seen that the vibration is quite visible when magnified in Liveview. I have tried hand holding techniques but it seems all muscle strings are not build alike. In my photo circle there are people who can do shots at 1/4th of focal length without IS.

WOW, i am shooting with 1 series body and even 300mm 2.8IS the heavy one handholding at lower than 1/300 and i can get sharp images, with 135mm i can shoot even at 1/20 handholding with heavy body and have enough sharp shot, if shooting with f5.6 and narrowing or more stops i get more sharpness, maybe i don't get very sharp at low shutter speed handholding if i shoot at f2 up to f3.5-5, but shooting at 1/100 up to 1/200,.... the lens is a toy in my hand.

I hope i can have this strong or steady hands until late age, i understand if someone is at older ages, but if you are not, why not having that sturdy hands handholding with 135mm?
