So far... I like it. Shipped at 9am left to sams for shopping have a few quick snapshots to share.

I'm impressed it's tiny and much better than a s120.

So far really loving the detail at ISO 800-3200.... and I'm looking at medium jpg from the camera on my laptop. It really is impressive to my standards and I'm picky.

Talley, how are you liking the camera now that you've had it for a bit?

Sorry I haven't posted any photos.

Honestly I love it. There are a few times when I feel the lens is a bit soft, mainly at the furthest zoom setting but after looking at the images on my computer they look OK.

The ISO handling is decent. The detail retained at all ISO I find remarkable for this size of a camera. The controls are perfect, I love how you can customize a few of the buttons to whatever you wish. I shoot mainly in M mode with the front dial controlling aperture and the back wheel controlling shutter and then I leave the ISO in auto mode and I adjust the EC dial as needed to dial in my exposure.

It was purchased for my wife but she felt (and felt this way about the EOS-M also) that the focus was too slow for ONLY my 18 month old who runs around alot. The rest of the kids/scenarios was fine. I love the touch screen and the dedicated button for the WIFI works great. NFC works great on my phone... just touch teh phone to the camera and the app pops up automatically.

I ended up buying the overpriced matching Canon leather case for $52. It fits great and has a belt loop. I ended up landing an amazing deal on an SL1 ($40 after selling the combo off) and picked my wife up a 24mm pancake to go on it so that is now her camera.

I've taken possession of the G7x and seriously I'm happy with it's quality. I'm very picky with noise/detail and honestly I feel this camera holds it's own against the original 7D. I have a few quirks about the lens at the long end but it's not enough to make me hate the camera. For a travel camera this thing is amazing and fits my needs perfectly. I love the built in ND filter and again the daytime outdoor photos are extremely good (FOR THE SIZE)

I'm sure the G1X II is a better camera IQ wise but at a larger format. I do have the G7x up for sale, I just bought everything for it for $752 and would take 100 less than that right now for a 6 week old camera. The reason?... I'm funding a home theater install. If it doesn't sell for my asking price then no biggie... I'll keep it.

OH... the video in low light is awesome.
