These were taken at Nellis AFB in NV, part of Aviation Nation airshow. Next show will be in 2016. Apparently scheduling issues for 2015.

I have to say of the 3 military base airshows I've been to (Miramar, March, and Nellis), Nellis has the best/unobstructed view of the runway. Some of the planes/jets also taxi right up along the fence.

best part is you have those hills for the background and a decently positioned sun angle pretty much all day!

She is waiting for the other company to give her the go-ahead! Britt-Marie wants to use them.

BTW, show a few if you want to the SoCal group... ;) Just don't say who the company is.

I am hoping to sneak out Sunday if it is clear. I have a couple of places in mind for some BIF with talons!

I'll post a few soon, Robert... And I'm intrigued about the talons... I think it's going to be clear and warm on Sunday... PM me details... Hehehe...

Repost from last Sunday's shoot. One of the regulars mentioned that they saw it at the same place Wednesday evening. Really hit and miss of course, plus a long walk. I will let you know.

Not sure what you guys are talking about there....

I think I'd like to go out shooting on Sunday for sure. And possibly Sat too.
Weather should be nice, according to the forecast.

Can't believe I missed the 5D for $375 shipped in the sales forum. Oh well. I did go ahead and preorder a ef-s 24mm. I've wanted something wider than my 35mm on my 7D. I also love the size of it.

JD, I sold my 5D on CL for that much a few months ago. It's a nice camera for the money.
