Agreed! Frustrating as hell. I'm trying to get out of Fuji but the resale values are preventing me from doing so.

out of curiosity, why getting out of Fuji?

Not really tempted, probably cause my X100s is not even a year old. I do like the improvements Fuji made though. I'm hoping the X100s gets Class Chrome through FW.

Probably doesn't make much business sense for them, but I kind of wish Fuji would have continued to manufacture and sell all 3 of the X100 series cameras that have come out to date, sort of like what Sony is doing with the RX-100 series.

Each one offers something a bit different imo. I still really like the images coming out of the original X100, I agree with those that have said they have a more film-like quality. Selling all 3 at different price points would give X-fans a really good selection, while also providing a lower price entry point for those on the fence. Of course Fuji is not doing this, so just wishful thinking on my part.

Whatever floats your boat I guess. I prefer it, that way if I change my mind or get bored I get more of my money back ;) I paid $700 for my X-E1 kit and I'm fairly sure the extent of it's use was somebody buying it and using it for a few weeks then returning it, it looked minty when I got it. My XF 35mm was completely mint when I got it and it cost me $330, I'm a huge fan of used stuff

Speaking of that 35mm...

I saved over £1400 buying my Fuji kit refurbished or second hand, nothing more than a couple of months old. Thats not including the X-E1 that cost £200, but that was a year old.

What changed your views on Fuji? Are you going back to Canon or elsewhere?

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. The only thing I've been tempted to buy used is a Leica for obvious reasons, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Everything was bought from trusted sources, so no trouble with returns if the item wasn't as described. Most would help out with the warranty if needed within the year as well, but don't tell Fuji that :D

Fuji gear depreciates fast, I either save the £1400 up front, or lose that amount as soon as I purchase. Of course I can also sell on now for little loss as well. I'm pretty happy with it all at the moment though.

That's been my experience as well. I got my X-E1 kit from Adorama and they were great
