^yea I've considered both the Nokton and ZM 50. But boils down to price at this point.
I'm gonna test out the Sony 55 and see if I like it. I may pass on it since i've decided I may keep my Mark 3 for some events I have coming up and just use MF lenses on my A7. Decisions Decisions.

I think you may have already seen it, but someone who shall remain nameless has a ZM 50 for sale.. ;)

yes I know. I'm trying to sell this Canon 100mm macro to fund it. So hopefully you still have it when I sell it.

How are people dealing with the RAW files? I have heard that LR mucks them up. Are people using capture one or sony data converter? I am accustomed to LR so that is what I would like to stick with so it sounds like the data converter -> TIFF -> LR is the way to go.

triton3k, love your shots, the last one is fantastic!

Hopefully you get the ZM, amazing lens both on the A7 or a film camera, it has that Zeiss 3D pop that neither my Nokton 1.5 has, although the difference between the 2 lens are very minimal.

Dorian7, I edit my A7 RAW files straight in LR and never had any issues.

Ok, I have seen some articles like this: http://www.leica-boss.com …erter-for-a7-and-a7r-raw/ (external link)

showing the difference but maybe it only matters if you are really peeping then.

People like to blow things like this way out of proportion. I've read many things about people having issues with Fuji's RAW conversion via LR also and I've never had any issues with it.

90% of that was probably me :)

Nah, I've read about it a few places, I've seriously never seen it though, even when I looked for the problem. I also have the first generation X-Trans in my X-E1, so maybe it's files work differently in LR?

I got Capture One on the evidence of those comments about LR not playing nice with A7r raw files but when I edit in LR I don't see any difference. Maybe I'm not being critical enough, I don't know but if I knew now I wouldn't have shelled out for Capture One

The annoying thing is I now find myself been drawn to the X100T as a take everywhere camera but worried I will feel the same way again as the sensor is the same as the XT1s I believe. Still lusting after a X100T though!

Hello again, Charlie!

Thanks for the link, two likely issues:
1. Nowhere does it say for FE A7. Description repeatedly refers only to NEX series. (I will reconfirm with Seller.)
2. Both sides lack chrome finish which I believe adds to durability, longevity and smoother attach/detach.
Lastly, the £4.8 price incl free shipping is welcome relief (in the world of Sony everything is priced to touch the sky) but as we know there are no free lunches, so I am wondering about quality...

another question for you guys - I just learned that the A7/R/S doesn't have an external flash that utilizes an on flash AF assist light. I see this being somewhat of a problem with during wedding receptions. Any feedback on this potential issue?

Also I have read a lot about the A7 having issues with low light AF (like even just indoor photos). How overblown is this issue?
