My stance on buying used are, I prefer to buy new bodies but used glass. Bodies tend to have more moving parts and more suspect to damage and repair (though I've yet to have to send a body in for repair, knock on wood).

The Fuji resale value is hurt by two things in my opinion. It's a relatively niche market compared to Canikon and the constant sales and promotions tend to keep people waiting to buy new on sale, then used. Only real way to combat #2 is to buy when it's either used or on sale yourself. Or do what I did when I shot Fuji, buy used while it's on sale. Got great glass from B&H used department during the sale, then when I ended up selling the gear, the sales had ended and prices jumped back up, so I actually made a few bucks selling the 14 and 35.

Everything was bought from trusted sources, so no trouble with returns if the item wasn't as described. Most would help out with the warranty if needed within the year as well, but don't tell Fuji that :D

Fuji gear depreciates fast, I either save the £1400 up front, or lose that amount as soon as I purchase. Of course I can also sell on now for little loss as well. I'm pretty happy with it all at the moment though.

The only Fuji gear I have is the X100s, and incidentally that's the only camera related item I've purchased at full MSPR with no rebate or discount. I just buy new stuff but wait to get it on sale, rebate, etc.

The thing is though that you can usually use those sales and promotions to even further lower the used price. For instance, I got my XF 35mm when it was on sale (as it is now, at $499) and it was listed at around $450 used where I ordered it. I sent them an email about how I thought the used price should reflect the sale price as it seemed silly to me to save $50 on buying it used, so I got it for much less ;)

Not really tempted, probably cause my X100s is not even a year old. I do like the improvements Fuji made though. I'm hoping the X100s gets Class Chrome through FW.

Probably doesn't make much business sense for them, but I kind of wish Fuji would have continued to manufacture and sell all 3 of the X100 series cameras that have come out to date, sort of like what Sony is doing with the RX-100 series.

Each one offers something a bit different imo. I still really like the images coming out of the original X100, I agree with those that have said they have a more film-like quality. Selling all 3 at different price points would give X-fans a really good selection, while also providing a lower price entry point for those on the fence. Of course Fuji is not doing this, so just wishful thinking on my part.

Never thought of that before. That would be cool for Fuji to sell all three at the same time, but as used x100/s get more "used" they become more rare and my original x100 gets even more prestigious lol. At least that's what I'll tell myself when Classic Chrome does not come to my camera =\

Very much processed, but using Velvia Film Sim in camera and in Lr is an absolute favorite right now:

Hey Guys.. I have that Zhongyi Lens Turbo Adapter for EF-FX mount, I highly recommended it!

HEre's one of my result comparing old lens turbo vs. lens turbo II:

Top Right: Helios 58mm w/ Lens Turbo II
Bottom: Rokinon 85mm 1.5 cine

It really depends on the lens... I can see the differences... turbo II does show slightly blue spot but if you use better glass

out of curiosity, why getting out of Fuji?

A few days later and still no answer. :( I would like to know the reason too.

BTW, have you picked up your A7s yet? I saw on another thread you finally decided to sell the 6D for it.

Nope, still sitting on the 6D sale, hopefully I'll sell it soon. It's a tough sell this time of the year, too many imminent promotions on the new ones :( I'm trying not to let it go for less than $1400 and I'm selling it with 4 batteries, 2 chargers, EG-S screen, vertical grip, extra GGS screen protector, San Disk class 10 32gb SD card and my EF 75-300iii... but so far only one bite and it was a low baller :(
