Beautiful shots Paul!
I become mostly accustomed to the a7 menus in my 10 months of use, but I still prefer my 5D III's user interface. The a7 lets you re-map a few buttons with a limited selection of functions (about the same as the 5D III), but I love the 5D III's custom "My Menu" page, which can be set to always display first. That's where I put all my favorite menu functions, so I don't ever need to scroll through to find stuff. I hate having to scroll through the menu to format my card, or get to the play memories apps, etc.
Also I like that my 5D III offers three custom shooting modes on the mode dial. I have mine set to optimized settings for C1: single-exposure landscapes & architecture, C2: HDR landscapes & architecture (7 brackets), C3: action and wildlife photography.
Also, there is one glaring omission from the a7 menus: no mirror lockup. Anywhere. What was Sony thinking?? Kidding, of course.
