Biggest d&^% gator I have ever seen

This is not a very good pic. But this is a HUGE gator. I was in a 14' skiff, and when I got up close to him, I realized he was as big as my boat. Or bigger.

So did you high tail it out of there at that point....I might have wet my pants if a gator the same size as my boat came in the water.

Thanks for the replies. I had seen this particular animal a couple times before, but hadn't been up close enough to realize how big he was. I nosed my skiff up to the bank, and he just kinda laid there. That big, I guess he isn't afraid of anything. There are a lot of gators back in where I been going, and I mean a lot. Normal day is to see 15 or 20. But not often do I see one over 6 feet or so. You can tell the full grown adult ones, because they get almost black, and loose the yellow markings.

It appears it was doing some sizing up too. That's a lot of luggage there. Cool.

Not quite. The OP is in the state that holds the US record, though - 19 ft, 2 in.

Great shot but I would have set a rowing record. I have fortunately taken photos of some big ones here in TX, too.
