My ballhead (468RC2) is suffering from the "jerky movement syndrome". I thought of cleaning/lubricating it. However, I read several contradictory instructions related to using WD-40, isopropyl alcohol and such.
What do you recommend?

I would suggest that you read the pamphlet that was provided with the head. I quote from the pamphlet: The heads are maintenance-free. Do not lubricate with any oil or silicon. Skip Douglas
