lol Reservoir you didn't post an image for the next person to critique. lol I apologize if I sparked a fire within you.

Yes you're right, i'm going to rate this image and post one picture to "unlock" and let everyone get back on the track, and no worries you didn't spark anything ;)

Thanks, I guess it worked!

As you asked for insight, in my opinion, there is nothing to do or to get back from this image.
You saw the diagonal with those flowers which is good, but it was not enough in my opinion.
2/10

As an apologize to my rate i offer you a glass of mojito ;)

Excellent shot. The DOF and lighting is perfect. I also like the composition - subjects that close to the centre often don't look quite right, but it does in this case - you obviously know what you're doing.

9/10 as I don't think any photos are perfect!

8/10! I love the composition and detail of the dirt on the shovel. The sky is excellent and I love the overall B&W processing. I think it would benefit from being a little bit brighter in parts, namely the left and lower right parts of the shot.

Okay, since my first attempt was so lame, and was at your expense, I'll try again.

I like the white background better than the black in the photo i "rated" earlier. Really like the color balance in her skin and hair...looks really natural. nice! 8/10

Okay, there's a lot of noise. What I want to know is the composition good, and can it be fixed? There are no fixes in this image.

It's a good shot, composition/lighting is spot on. How did you light? 9/10

What kind of lights/mods did you use to light it so evenly?

Sorry Slickooz, it looks like Parkespapa was first :)

Hmm... You're right, lots of noise. It is quite underexposed (open up your aperture) and the subject is small in the frame (you should have enough resolution to crop it). Aside from the novelty of the Blue Angel, this photo doesn't have very much going for it. 2 or 3/10.

Reminds of Ice Age (animation film). 7/10. The -3 is for the twigs popped from the snow. Nicely done overall.

Here's mine. Playing with my strobes.

8/10 Exposure and colour are great, I think you could have benefited from more symmetry.
