Cannot seem to be able to save photos anymore as desktop backgrounds .

A photograph is worth a thousand words, but Photoshop can produce a thousand lies. Photo editing allowed. I need all the help I can get.

As a guy who worked in a very hectic website production environment really impressed with the short downtime

My only request would be the ability to change "- posts per page selection"

As a photography forum I can see the downside of allowing 20, 30, + posts per page so will understand if you don't reconsider.

Thanks for the hard work.

I have used Chrome all the time, and no problems there. When the photo has been accepted, and then you try to see it directly it will be shown as it is in cache. That could confuse sometimes to think hotlinking is not working.

You should not see a hotlinking warning on thread pages. If you do, you are probably browsing through some proxy which messes up referers.

I agree. For normal threads it's not a big deal, but when looking at long threads it's a real PITB. For instance, I am thinking of buying a 35 Art, so want to look through all 500 posts in the 35 Art photo sharing thread...that's a lot of clicking every few seconds to go to the next page. Much easier to scroll through a large number of photos.

Hmm. Not caused by this end. Sounds like browser cache is messing up in your machine. Try control+F5 (force cache reload).

I tried Ctrl+F5, and it didn't change but restarting Chrome seems to have fixed it.

Here's something that might help:

As an example,

go to page https://photography-on-the.net …hread.php?t=919564&page=1

then click "FOLLOW THIS THREAD" next to the pagination links.

Now, click that "TRAVERSE UNSEEN" button which flew to view.

A small tab opens to the left: click "posts with photos" and then

click TO NEXT UNSEEN...

that is a way to browse just the photos on a long thread. This is version 1.0 so I'm sure there will be more where that came from.

I am not using a proxy. I have disabled the Varnish cache in front of my Apache with no avail. Going now to Wireshark this behaviour that I never have come across before.

Have your tried FF or Chrome? AMASS has been tested a lot on Macs, though.

Im on a PC with Chrome now; Logged in no prob.

I also used to be a web developer...I didn't see any JS errors in Safari, but have not had time to dig into the problem. Is the login submit address rendered on the client or server?

FWIW I'm also running a caching proxy server at home (squid).

thx--

Looks great, Pekka!

One thing I've noticed is that it looks MUCH better on my phone, especially in "Short View".

Awesome job - thank you!

Proxies can do anything, good and bad.

In there gear section it says there are dedicated threads for requesting additions/corrections. I'm not seeing any aside from the request for gear photos. I'm not sure how you want to do this but I think a single pinned thread may be easier than multiple threads for you(Pekka) or any others you may have helping. I've already came across some errors and missing items while trying to find my gear to add. Should I(or someone) start a single thread for additions/corrections?
