the new posts purple banner on top of the page is the single greatest addition, but it needs to float. If I'm at the bottom of a page, I dont like scrolling to the top to check if new posts show up. Should be able to dock that feature.

Do you notice the grey unobtrusive status bar on top of this browser window? It shows the same as the purple bar, it disappears when you scroll to the top. Also clicking outside in the empty space will bring you straight to the top.

Scroll down a thread page past the title, and see what is on the very top of the page....
Click that text, too.

ahh, I see, this actually does work, however, since it did NOT change color, I didnt bother reading it. The purple banner is nice because it's really obvious, however plain text is hard to notice, especially if you're not paying attention to it.

Yep, looks like it was designed for kids with the huge avatars and the primary colors and graphics.

After awhile you'll just glance up and look at it. It becomes 2nd nature.

Can you explain how to do that please? Or direct me to where it is explained?

I did a search first, before I asked, just so you know.

TIA

Avatars are only huge when there's a long post; they scale to the size of the post, so one-liners will have reduced avatar sizes.

It grows on you, and after a while you might appreciate it on a tablet, or smartphone even. After a while, you just use it as if you knew nothing else. Or at least the beta team ended up there after a few weeks of activity. We might all have been a bit abnormal though too, who knows?

I like it much better on my phone than the old design. :)

I think it is better on the phone also...probably iPad too, I'll know later.

The gallery feature is fantastic.
