I probably won't have a gallery here either but I thought there might be a way to import exif info from Flickr that I was missing somehow. I did try to fill in the information manually on one image as a test and it never saved...just locked up.

Yeah.. Bit buggy. I had to give a second try.

There is an easy way, there's an API already built and published by Flickr.

flickr.photos.getExif

I'm sure Pekka will get around to adding it.

If I post a photo here, I'll add it to my gallery. The great thing about getting all this info is eventually (and this is where Pekka is headed, I'm almost certain of it) you'll be able to say.. find all photos taken with a 5D2 and 24L II, wide-open, between ISO 800 and ISO 1600.

It will be very, very handy. Whenever it's implemented. :)

Yes, that is why Pekka encourage us to add gears and use the Metadata. For search reasons.

My yardman planted some new flowers in my front garden but I have no idea what kind they are other than very tiny.

I entered the exif manually so you can see this was shot using my Canon 70-200 f4 IS lens.

Speaking of exif information, it looks like that all has to be entered manually for images linked from our Flickr pages. Am I missing something or should I not even worry about it?

You are not missing anything. I posted this as an issue on the AMASS forum. It can't auto extract linked images exif like those from Flickr. I asked if they can make lens and camera as the only mandatory items to link to your gallery. Leave the rest as optional. This way it can increase those galleries not just for users but the items themselves. If they leave it as is many won't bother filling information in.

I like the canon 24-105, wish Sony would create something with the same range. An all in one with more range would be nice.

Yeah, I hope I don't miss the 71-105 range too much, but autofocusing with it using the Metabones IV just wasn't cutting it anymore. Plus I wanted smaller. The 24-70 seems ridiculously fast in comparison.
