reneethomas. It's obvious to the bowhunter in me that he bucks in Velvet have a thin neck. They have not started to rut yet
The velvet bucks also look like the're still in the growing process. Once the blood vessels start to dry the growth stops and the antlers itch.
The buck will rub off the velvet on selective trees. My experience is that the tree of choice is cedar.
All those bucks look real nice especially the rutting boys.
