Nice gun for those bushytails. I've never hunted them with a dog. Does it help a lot? I'd be scared the squirrels would high-tail it out of the area. Or do they just keep their eye on your dog while you sneak around to pop them? Yes its a 10/22 its a really good one for sure. EastBayGirl wrote in post #17189137 ![]() Congratulations on the cover. I've never seen, or heard of using bay dogs on squirrels. I don't think there's anything better then watching a dog work and he looks like he loves it. ![]() Thanks. I agree I love watching good dog work.

Sorry, but cheap hunters piss me off. HA have you shot anything with a bow before? Bush league?? Cheap hunters?? First off each county has its own rules on what you can and can not do when it comes to feeding or food plots. Sit in a tree for hours on end and hope a deer comes with in 30 yards or so and be able to hit it with a bow and arrow. That is far from bush league my friend. What is bush league/cheap is when people hunt on a game farm. If he is like most people that hunt here in WI we eat what we kill. So again this is far from a cheap/bush league hunter. Jessi

Congratulations! He looks to be at least 6 1/2 years old . . . did you have him aged at a check station? That is actually a 2 1/2 yr old buck. This deer has an asterisk next to it. I harvested it on a game farm that I was fortunate enough to visit. I know it wasn't shot out in the wild, but I was not about to pass up the opportunity. I tell everyone that asks, where it came from. I don't try to hide it. -Sac

I hunt 100% fair chase. Shot my buck at under 10 yards after hunting 48 days straight waiting for a shooter. Thanks for the kind comments!! No luck this year so far btw. My Flickr
