It was raining, and windy, and dark, and high ISO was the order of the day, ranging from 5000 to 20,000. I can understand why the eagle looked miserable on this day.....more so than usual.

The look in his eye in number 4 makes it my favorite of the set. Were you able to stay dry, or were you miserable too?

Thanks Sandy. Well, I had to step out of my truck, briefly, to get these shots, but it was so windy and wet that I just took a few and headed home.

Thats what I like about owning a van with stowaway seats. Open the door and catch the shots without getting in the weather.


My camera doesn't take great pictures.....I do! :rolleyes:

Wicked set for high ISO.
at 20k ISO my 7d would just be white dots.

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. Indeed Bret, a tough young bird is what he is! And Jeremy, the low ISO capability is one of the many best things about using the 1DX....aside from the awesome snap-to-focus ability.
