Since switching the site over, there have been sections added for other brands. Nikon and Sony have their own sections. Olympus and Fuji are under the "other cameras" section. I can't help but notice that Pentax does not have it own section, nor is it under the other camera. Could we at least make a section to discuss it?

I realize I'm a little bias since I shoot Pentax. Im just not sure why it wasn't included since the other brands were.

Bodies: Nikon D800,Canon Rebel GII, Pentax K1000

Please go to this forum, there might be a post about other camera forums, but you can ask there.
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=152

I would ask this question under the Questions thread perhaps?
https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=17310994

There was already a request for a GoPro forum.

Keep in mind there is no way to add forums for every kind of camera though, but Pentax and GoPro have a big place in the market so it makes sense here.

For me if something gets renamed I never accept the new name. Buildings, malls. This is the first time I've ever heard of a website changing it's name. What a way to lose traffic!

Wow Happy, you seem to have some issues. The forum name did not change. It was not Canon-on-the.net. It was Photography-on-the.net. It seems you are unhappy about something. I just don't get it.
I am happily recommending this site to folks I know that shoot every camera type. Some previously felt out of place because it did seem to focus on Canon gear. Now they have all taken a look and will likely become members. The more the merrier in my book.
As you stated elsewhere, there will likely be some threads that are less used, but I am hopeful that the common threads will increase in use, seeing more variety of camera types.
Why are you acting like such a hater? Even going so far as an above response of this being a Canon forum when it is so clearly trying to move away from that.

This was born as Canon digital photography forums. They even tried to get Canon to sponsor this site at one point.

Website name before: https://photography-on-the.net/
Website name after: https://photography-on-the.net/

Looks pretty similar before. Besides think of it as a head start for when you switch to Nikon like everyone else.

That was then. This is now. Things change; adapt with the changes or move on. I don't see how opening new non-Canon sections of the forum will result in fewer users.

Whilst I'm still not to grips with the new layout, I realise its just a matter of time before it becomes second nature. As for welcoming other brand users, I'm a long time lurker on FM and am hoping some of the VERY knowledgeable guys over there come on over and start contributing. There's LOTS to be learned :)

Know "they" didn't.
Especially because there is no They. There is only Pekka.
