Can a FF camera be damaged by using an APS-C lens (crop lens)? I'm using the Sigma 17-50 with the 5D, I know it's not made for FF cameras but I really love the effect it produces. I don't want to damage the cuircuit, mirror or anything that could happen.

All Sigma lenses, whether designed for crop sensor or not, are fitted with an EF mount
So no chance of hitting the mirror

Good work! You manage to capture the look of a mid 19th century English novel, something the Bronte sisters would write...Joe

This last one is different. The moon tonight. Manually focused with the view finder (no live view on a 5D!), thanks to the EE-S precision matte, it wasn't so hard to focus.

This is the 150-600 Tamron, with the Kenko 2.0x TC, for a 1200mm lens.

5D + 1200mm at F16, 1/400s, ISO 1600 on a tripod.

I was wondering if anyone in here has any info on tethering my 5d? I know Canon dropped support for it with EOS utility (which makes no sense) but now that I am getting a little more serious with photography, I was going to do a photo booth for children this year and I wanted to shoot tethered so I can edit/print on the spot so they can take their pictures with them after I am done.

Looking like that's not going to happen?

I really don't want to have to edit 30 pictures and then print them all at once etc....

Ideas>?

Nice Thanksgiving photos. What are you using for the background? Do you actually have such specialized seamless?

Easiest possible answer to your question: Capture One.

I think.

It was easy with the old demo I tried. (See http://help.phaseone.com …re/Tethered-Shooting.aspx (external link) and the note at the bottom). I also got it working with Win 7 and LR once, but I remember it being a hassle (some EOS Utility trickery needed).

Thanks man!

The background is a 4x4 vinyl.

Thanks for the tip!

That's very pretty. You should add meta data and add it to your gallery.
