You took a solemn blood oath on the beta forum that you would not post that picture of us on POTN. :p

..... This change is pretty damn substantial, the biggest I've ever experienced. it will take time to adjust.

We're here to help you learn how to use any features that have you stumped. I think that if an old geezer like me is able to do it then it should be a snap for most other people.

no doubt that this is more powerful than FM, the only other photog forum I participate in, however, FM was more powerful in the past, but the reason why I didnt frequent was because with all it's features, it was just more clunky to use.

I understand change is a bxxxh, but a more similar interface would have made the blow a lot softer. This change is pretty damn substantial, the biggest I've ever experienced. it will take time to adjust.

You do not have to learn all the new features right away. Thread viewing, forum indexes, new posts... they are very similar. There is no requirement to use all the new features if you do not need to. For example if adding gear to gear list and photos to gallery is baffling, don't do it and you're just like in the old site.

This is a continuing project, see https://photography-on-the.net …read.php?t=1409897&page=1 for changes planned.

I find myself using the forum just as I was before, just incorporating all of the new stuff when I need it. It really is a lot simpler than everyone is making it out to be. Keep up the good work Pekka, it's only getting better each day that people use it.

I am actually using the forum a lot more than what I was before. All the little caveats here and there, the testing, the new friends per se from testing and helping people transition across. Witty banter helps out too.

There are a lot of people whom I have not interacted with before that have been on the forum(s) for a long time that i am interacting with, and getting ino differing threads that I never bothered with in the past.

I still haven't recovered from the mandatory drug test imposed on all the beta testes. My urine test came back saying I'm pregnant and post menopausal. Now I'm subject to daily "random" testing. Random testing my backside!

The Activity Tracker with images has done the same for me. I'm looking at a lot more threads now.

Chet, our time together during those random tests has been a most pleasurable experience for me. I will remember them always.
