We took my wife to brunch and then to the local arboretum to get some family pics. Here are I few I like of my kids. My WB was all off on some of these due to the color of the flowers and clothes. Worked on them in LR5.

C&C welcome.

Nice colors and beautiful children!

I would say to watch your head space and avoid cutting body parts in weird ways. The composition of #2 is good, but if you had panned lower for #3, you'd have gotten his whole body instead of wasted space at the top. Also, avoid putting your subject dead center unless it's fitting (like #2). I'd crop #3 to the right, and #4 to the left, and get a little closer into both to eliminate the cut off body parts and extra head space.

Thanks for the detailed response. Really appreciate it. I cropped of the bottom of #3 because they were on a blanket due to the wet grass. As it relates to cropping, when you say crop to the right, do you mean the subject would be on the right or the left?

So, your son on the left of the frame, your daughter on the right. Just feels right with their body positions. It would be cute to put the three pictures in frames with the little one in the center, and brother and sister on either side so it looks like they're next to each other.

When I get home I'll play around with those suggestions.

I think they look great, really puts the focus on your gorgeous kids when you take away the distractions. What do you think?

Closer up, they both look just a tad over exposed, but I'm better at composition than I am at fixing exposure. Maybe someone else has input?

Reviving this thread from the spring as I'd like to frame some of these for my wife for christmas.

I'd love some feedback / tips for edits to achieve better exposure and white balance. I use LR5.

Thanks in advance.
