I'm flattered and thank you so much for the kind words.
I checked in here today and just realised what someone else said in this thread.. it's not canon specific anymore!
I'm so glad that they decided to change it so that all of us can enjoy this great community.

I will stick around and post photos in the fuji forums then.

:-)

Dont let it stop you from posting in the topic forums as well: people, travel, transportation etc. This isnt canon only anymore. Its about enjoying and sharing in photography. :D

Not anymore.

Good luck with that. If you want all cameras go to Dpreview.com. being Canon only is/was a draw for this place. Being a grab bag of everything is a bit blah and I'm betting many new forums created here will be rather low volume. Without volume people won't come back to it because there isn't anything/posts/discussions/answers waiting.

All the posts in the Sony threads and Fuji threads I've been visiting pretty much prove otherwise... I don't get why you seem to have such an issue with people using other systems and joining in here. This is a photography forum, cameras are only part of it.

Sony makes great TVs. Nothing more than that. ;)

They make great gaming consoles too, don't forget about that :-P

I second that.

Dat Kinect though... :p

Also, Sony hasn't made "great" TV's in nearly a decade, I used to be the biggest Sony TV fanboy, but their LCD's are very "meh" and they don't make any Plasma's... which seems very odd given they sell the most popular gaming console on the market (even though I like the XBone better, don't worry, I brought my flame-suit).

Sorry for the OT

Back on topic (sort of), my a7R should be here on Thursday and I'm really hoping it'll make me a Sony fanboy again... lol.

I think if I was to get a second body I'd love an A7R, would certainly make travelling a lot lighter and stop my girlfriend from complaining about my 'heavy' camera haha.

Haha, if that's true than they've seen some interesting things through mine  lol

Yeah, after getting my X-E1 kit my 6D collected dust... the IQ from it was better for the most part, but because the size and weight was so much more convenient with the X-E1 I rarely used the 6D. So finally I decided I'd just let it go and replace it with something I'd be more likely to use (hopefully)

Better keep a towel over it then :-P

I could tell, you went from posting in the 6D group a lot to going missing so I figured you were more into your other body. I'm not too familiar with the X-E1 but I think if you had that plus a brand new A7r, most of the attention would go to the A7r!

I hope you're right, I sold the 6D because I couldn't justify keeping a more expensive camera that rarely got used. We'll find out on Thursday :)

Panasonic 50" Plasma TV here since April 2009 (TX-P50V10E). :p As a Nintendo fan, I've always hated the Sony PlayStation 1, but their camera sensors are great. So great that the A7II and A9 are the only cameras I'm considering at the moment (even though the A9 hasn't been announced yet).

By the way... What made you go for the A7R? Also, I thought you were going for the A7S and were going to wait until January/February 2015, so the prices of the A7R/A7S would drop.
