(Big Sigh)…This seems to be the time of year I rack up a bunch of "great shot" type posts while my gear collects dust….. Cory

JoeyBaccala Goldmember ![]() More info Post edited over 8 years ago by JoeyBaccala. | Thanks Cory I appreciate that! lol this was a first try at doing a strobed rolling shot composite where the vehicle actually was rigged and strobed while rigged not a like the past images I've done where the car was lit while camera was sturdy on a tripod and then driven out of frame then a image was taken of the scene and processed in virtual rig and then composited. This was a learning experience so it was worth it JOEY

You might want to also think of a project you can do that either has time restraints (52 week project either themed or unthemed) or a project that doesn't have deadlines that you can add to as you see the opportunities. When I had my fuji 56mm lens I started "project 56" which was supposed to be 56 portraits taken with a 56mm lens. I never finished though as I sold the fuji but I am thinking of doing a project 85 to make me take more portraits. There's loads of other projects you could do. The point I'm trying to make (badly) is that in times where you feel you are not shooting as much as you want to be a project can be a good way to keep the momentum going. Sony α7RV | Leica Q2

Is it sad when the setup shot has more heart than the real one? I come here for your expert opinion. Please do not hesitate to critique or edit.

Were you bouncing the flash off a reflector to the left of the set up shot?

Because my light stands are tall I had my umbrella setup on a little tripod. You can see it's shooting into a collapsed umbrella to control the spill, I didn't have a lot of room, and light on the background would make the wires show. I come here for your expert opinion.
