This was taken, like many of my photos, at the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge in Stafford, KS. It is on the mid-continent migration route for many species, and huge flocks of cranes, pelicans, geese, shorebirds and all manner of ducks are there spring and autumn. Many other species are present year-round. It is also, quite literally, in the middle of nowhere, so it is never crowed with people and vehicles. I recommend it, next time you are in the middle of nowhere.

Nice one, very dynamic. Are there any more shots from this sequence? I would love to see them.

Thanks. I will have to check wrt other photos. This was taken a while ago, so I don't recall the other images.
