How much do the 70-200 2.8 IS II go for usually?

Is there any way to know when the re-stocks will happen, or is it just a luck of the draw it hit it right.

I don't see a pattern. It mostly happens during working hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM ET) but occasionally it has happened late in the evening (10 PM ET). Recent restocks have been both "East Coast and West Coast friendly", generally between 11 AM and 5 PM ET.

In this case it was user error. I had checked the first box instead of the used/refurb option. But I got lucky.

Good to know we didn't goof up on our end. :-) Sounds like you lucked out and got one anyway!

I believe you are located in the same state as the refurb center. Fedex shows my package starting at Hagerstown, MD. I have to wait till Tuesday :(

I'm feeling very proud of myself. I was able to resist the 90 T/SE and the 14 L 2.8 when they were in stock earlier.

Ya, I saw that too and also resisted.

Canon has an extra 10% off on some camera kits, as well as some lower prices right now. I ordered hubby an Sl1 kit a few days ago and thought $359 was a great price. Today the kit is $315. I called and they are crediting me the difference. Great deal. I'm very happy.

Ooh, they have the 1DX back in stock, but still a hefty $5439. But less than the normal $6800 (or $4500 at the infamous Abe's of Maine, lol)
