Hi JM P, yes the eyes def stand out! they are terrific birds to photograph, they sit still, but usually high in dead trees. I find I can get close to them in my big red 4 wheeled bird hide, but as soon as I get out of the car they are away!

Fast & efficient predators, early morning hunters of mice, grasshoppers etc. They are great to watch hovering against air currents, watching waiting, then POW! Straight down & back up again with lunch!
