I'm pretty new to this but I eventually want to do this profesionally, so any pointers are appreciated.

gonzogolf dumb remark memorialized More info | Dec 12, 2014 15:09 | #4 A few thoughts. In the first shot the idea is cute, but try to find a way to incorporate the writing, but have the couple together, or at least linked. The distance between them is the opposite message of a couples shoot. In #2 you have too much togetherness, nobody looks good with their foreheads smooshed together. Practice the art of almost (almost kissing, almost hugging, almost fondling) so you get intimacy without the awkward contortions thst people actually do. Besides you'll actually create intimacy by putting them together but keeping them from following through. Try getting close enough for a kiss but not kissing to see what I mean.

gregr2 Goldmember More info | Dec 12, 2014 20:15 | #6 Is your monitor calibrated? On my calibrated monitor they look underexposed and the blacks are really muddled. Most monitors out of the factory have the brightness set way too high causing this issue. Flickr

Dec 12, 2014 22:26 | #9 I'm with Gregr2, very underexposed and losing lots of details (on a calibrated monitor). I agree with Gonzogolf on the posing for the first one. My first thought was there's no connection -- perhaps if they'd been holding hands and bring the text up a bit. Specializing in Theatrical Photography. See my work at:
