I have been trying to pay a lot more attention to the backgrounds lately. Today I did my best but I just couldn't position myself properly (restrained to a boardwalk) for a lot of the shots.

I think Number 3 is a stunning portrait. Very well done.

The interaction of number 2 in set two is very interesting, and the photo captures it to the tee.

Thank you Greg. From what I gathered (from the experienced bird watchers at the site) the interaction in that shot is the male rubbing necks with the female to stimulate her. (I think?) that's what they said... still learning!
