Why not bump iso up a bit? This isn't directed at only you, your post was the closest to quote wih numbers.

because when i took the pic i was using a 10d.........i didnt want to go any higher as i didnt want too much noise in the pic. an early digital camera like a 10d doesnt do high iso very well.

besides which......if you look at the sharpeness of the detail in the nearest lamp post and also the clock face, quite a wide depth of field, i think i did ok at 1/4 sec

if i had gone to an iso of 1600 then the shutter speed is still going to be very low , maybe 1/15 so hand holding would still have had to be good, but maybe with a less useable image.

i got the pic...im happy.............espe​cially at that focal length!
