And? That doesn't make it any more relevant to the EF lens section. If anything you'd be a Sony fanboy to be upset by then wanting to re-lable it...

? I didn't mean any harm by my comment, I just call it how I see it. It made no sense to have a Sony a7 thread in a lens sub-forum... especially an EF lens sub-forum.

A better solution than changing the name of the thread in the first place would have been to simply move it to the general photography section since that's where all the other non-Canon camera discussion used to be.

holy hell, a sigma 120-300 on travel? Trying to understand why you would be carrying something like that around.

In this case, for a few planned ultra-long landscape shots (since I didn't expect to encounter wildlife on this trip), as well as for telephoto cityscapes (since the 70-200L has 8 aperture blades, which makes for poor sunstars from city lights).

Finally got my a7R and did some test shots

I know you're not looking for critique but I thought I'd share my initial reaction with you. I really like the composition but because the foreground is almost entirely green and brown, it tends to look like a colorized black and white image to my eyes.

It's probably because it's entirely green vegetation and red brick/stone ruins.

Here it is processed in a different manner, to match the others in the set (which didn't require such processing - since they were taken a few minutes later, the sun had washed out the green from the vegetation by then).

Even though it's darker, I much prefer the second edit as I think it looks more natural like that. It is a great shot.

I should probably mention that I shot it using an enhancing filter to bring out the greens.
