Rural landscapes of level or mostly level ground with or without people, structures, and vegetation--I didn't find an existing thread for them. I'll start. These were taken through a window of a moving train in the northern San Joaquin Valley.

Like this idea... Here are (2) of mine, perhaps a slightly different interpretation of 'flatland', but think it still works.

1) 105 mm-ISO 400-1-500 sec at f - 10

GlimmerMan, I like both of those. I originally said "rural," but that's too narrow. Town scenes work, too.

Great idea! Especially since I live in northeastern Colorado in the heart of the great plains. Here are 3 looks at my wife's family farm.

You may notice a discrepancy between this one and the next one. I confess to a tiny little addition to this one with PSE.

Yep! There should be a Marfa thread. (But not this one.)

Spent a very enjoyable new year 2008 at the El Paisano, visiting the Donald Judd installations and Big Bend NP as well as the observatory at Mt Locke.

A contribution to the thread from nowhere near there...
