Nice! Was actually just looking at adding a few more 50's to my collection, one of those was the Yashica ML (not sure which one, 1.4, 1.7, 1.9, 2 etc..).. looks nice!

Were either of those shots wide open?

Thank you! Both shots were wide open with the 50/2. I have all of them but the f1.9, all are excellent. The f1.4 is the best one optically (when stopped down there's not a lot of difference between the 3, but the 1.4 is super sharp from f2 on), the 1.7 is also very good with a different rendering wide open that I like for some shots and the f2 is just awesome because it's essentially a pancake lens :) The ML 50/1.4 remains my favorite go-to lens ;)

Another from the ML 50/2 wide open on the a7R

Nice! Thanks! I'm slowly building up a respectable old school MF lens collection, but wasn't sure where to start with Yashica.. I like your f2 shots, very nice!

Thank you! I wouldn't say I'm a fanboy of anything... except Yashica :) I have several of their lenses and I'm happy with all of them, they were also my very first venture into MF glass with my Yashica DS-M 50/1.7, which is also a great lens ;)

Just a neutral density filter - I forget how many stops.
