Quick question, I'm making a trip to Hong Kong and will be there for 2 weeks. I am going to be basically walking around shooting all day. What are your thoughts battery-wise? I've got 4 right now- three aftermarket, which don't last as long probably 75% of the stock battery. Is this enough? I figure I'll be out for probably 10-12 hrs, could maybe charge if needed when stopping for lunch/dinner, but don't want to get stuck with nothing.

Also memory-wise, I plan on bringing three 64GB cards along with a 1TB drive that I'll back up to daily. Does that make sense?

I am not sure how many pictures you tend to take, but I can share with you my experience.

I went on a cruise for 1 week. brought the a7r with 3 oem batteries. 2 was enough, 3 was more than enough. One of the days I had to move onto the 3rd battery just for a few more shots. I had 2x64gig card but only one was used. about 740 pictures were taken in raw+jpg with jpg images being the highest. Still plenty of room to spare. All stills no videos for me. looking at my folder, 1,476 files jpg+ raw with 31.6gig in total.

Also brought my surface pro 3(tablet pc) with 1T hard drive space and did not even use them to transfer to free up space. if you feel the need to back up your files that is something you can do. Otherwise, 3x64 gig is plenty.

That helps, thanks. So battery side should be fine and memory side is 2x the trip length, so more than enough with 3x64GB (I shoot RAW+jpeg too).

Im planning on backing up so I have duplicates on a HD and the cards. Ive never been there and have no idea when I'll be back so Im being a bit over cautious on that end.

It's rare that the 70-200mm focal length applies to my life/shooting style but in this case the focal length was OK I think
