How is the EVF? 100% lagfree?
If the xt1 had a OVF aswell, i would seriously consider it.

Dec 23, 2014 08:20 | #17 I've only had it a couple of days, but I haven't noticed anything I would call lag, even in low-light. I'm sure its there, but it hasn't affected my shooting style at all. Photography is just a hobby for me.

This EVF sees in the dark BTW, and the autofocus can lock onto things which I can barely see with my naked eye. how do you find the focus tracking? have you had an opportunity to try taking photos of sports or moving subjects? flickr

The most I have been able to track an object is my brother's year old lab chasing a ball. I have to say, the tracking is pretty impressive given that almost all of the shots came out in focus, and she is pretty fast. The continuous autofocus did pretty well with moving objects, but didn't like if someone stayed still. It seemed to be looking for movement, and would go in and out of focus. Photography is just a hobby for me.

I typically shoot with a 6D and 5D3 so I find the images to be somewhat gross at 100%. I also don't care for the color reproduction (it's very "Nikon"), but I'm hoping to eventually find a Lightroom solution for that. Interesting, what about the image quality was "gross"? And which color profile are you using on the Fuji? I find the colors better from my X-E1 than any camera I've owned, it's going to be the hardest thing to let go of when I sell it. Dec 27, 2014 12:09 | #24 Had to return the thing yesterday, and it was one of the most painful returns I have done. It is definitely on my list of wants to switch to fuji now. All I am really waiting on is timing. Might try the X-E2 as well to see if I like the small reduction in size. Photography is just a hobby for me.

I was really impressed with the image quality, especially at ISOs higher than 1600. I really liked the color reproduction, but it wasn't any harder to adjust something I didn't like in the RAW file than in my canon camera. I probably have done less editing on these files than I usually do, and in several instances, just tossed the RAW files in favor of the in camera JPEG. I was a little surprised at the dynamic range. Not sure what the numbers say, but I did seem to be able to pull a lot out of the highlights. Didn't have to worry about the shadows much, as the X-T1 seems to meter a little farther to the right by default than does my T2i. The highlight recovery from the X-Trans sensors is ridiculous, no other camera I've used comes close and it's one of those things people never talk about for some reason. I've pulled highlights by at least 2 stops before and retained full detail, it's uncanny. The a7R definitely let's you push shadows more, but doesn't come close to the X-E1 for highlights. knak Member More info | I also shoot a 5D Mk III. I've been impressed with the JPEG images from the Fuji (I've always liked Fuji color film). The raw files took me a bit of tweaking in LR to get the right feel, but I'm happy with them. I won't be selling of my canon gear anytime soon, I enjoy the Fuji though.
