Nice. I particularly like the background in the pelican shot.

It sure was, Bob....I learned one must tie one's swim trunks on securely when going out in waves like that.

Nice set Ian.

I bet it feels nice to get those feet in the warm sand rather than the cold snow!!

Thanks Jeremy, yes for sure, the warm sun here is very welcoming. Although back home today it was 61 degrees. But that is temporary.

Nice set Ian. That Pelican seems to be looking right at you as he sails by. Enjoy the weather.

Excellent set Ian.

Don't know if you had a chance to see it yet or not, but one of O&H's eggs hatched this afternoon. We now have E5 in the nest. :)

Enjoy your visit!!!

Very nice series, Ian.

Last winter you were kind enough to respond to my PM about birding in SW FL - will be back down on Marco Island for a week in early February and looking forward to doing more. Last winter, my longest lens was 300mm on the 7D. Now I have 600mm of reach, just have to learn how to use it well :-)

I think he was, Don.....And I will. It was mostly cloudy today but supposed to clear up tomorrow.

Thanks, yes, I saw the hatching in progress online, and actually I was in the area so dropped by the nest mid afternoon.....saw nothing! Harriet apparently was in the nest, Oz must have been away fishing.

Wow, you will be in heaven with 600 mm! I am only here for a month this year, so I'll be gone unfortunately by the time you get here. Have fun with that new gear though!

Have a great month Ian, the snow will be waiting for you when you get back. Although we have nothing to speak of right now.
