The box of the monitor is extremely torn, I ordered from BH which they are usually very good but I don't know if I should send this back and get another with such a torn box. Here is a photo.

Well you've got two choices really haven't you. You either keep it or send it back. Only YOU can make that decision.

That's the bottom line. If it works properly...what's the issue? If it does not work...send it back. Quite simple.

So far it seems to be fine, I just need to get use to the bright screen.

Calibrate it.

You'll be shocked as to how "cool" your monitor appears uncalibrated.

you should call up customer service and let them know. they will log it.

that way, in a few days time if something goes kaput... you have it known that the package was damaged upon arrival and could be the main contributing factor.

I called them for a trade yesterday but decided to set it up and it seems to be fine.

One question Bleufire it seems warm to me I thought the U2413 had a built in calibration, when I go to the calibration mode it says I need a extra device called xrite, which I can't afford right now. But this monitor is so bright compared to my old one.

I decided to send it back for the 27" while I was using the monitor last night many times the calibration of the screen kept switching from warm to cool repeatedly and then I noticed a red ghosting outside of certain texted. While unpacking the unit it also looked as if someone may have returned this already the way the packaging was it did not look fresh from the factory.

My most concern with the monitor is that how Red it was it was not true to color at all, I guess I will have to invest in a calibration system when the new monitor arrives.
