Some great shots - the shallow DoF "something"s, the drinks cans and the kingfisher - well done all!

Me, I'll probably just keep plodding on with the 365... I've been doing this since 2010 (with a bit of a break in 2012), and it's nice to have the old pictures to look back on.

Yesterday - a cold day on the golf course

Today - sun and mist make a great combination

Think I am starting my 365 project this thursday. So close to the beginning of the year I figured it could wait till then. I am wondering what everyone does about their kit and posting pictures. I don't think I am going to limit myself to it, but I am thinking about only carrying my iPhone and my T2i+50/1.8 around with me. I know that the 18-135 would be more useful, but I am afraid it would just stay put away more often if it was bigger. The 50mm will fit in my work bag a little better.

Also, do you share all 365 or only the good ones? If you share them all, do you do it every day or in batches?

Photography is just a hobby for me.

I use whatever equipment I have. I carry my lighter camera bag just about everywhere, and use whatever lens I need to get the shot I want. But it really depends on what you shoot. I do a lot of birds, so I need the longer lens. But I have the landscape lens as well, for when I need the shorter focal length.

I post everything, good or bad. I try to post them daily, but that is not always possible. But I take them every day, and post them all. Except for when I screwed up and didn't get any shots that day, which this time around happened was back in Feb. :-( But the goal is everyday.

I don't do this, but some people do weekly or monthly themes, to make things more interesting.

I normally carry a little Sony TX30 on my belt pretty much everywhere I go. Also I normally have my camera with me and, truth be told, it does a darned good job. But sometimes I go out to get a picture, or post a picture I am taking as part of something else. So that would be SLR - the 5Dii or the old 350D. So yeah, whatever I have with me.

I normally post mine to flickr and to my blog (http://project365.thepotters.org (external link)). I share the pics from the blog onto facebook, and from flickr onto here.

If I don't get a good picture from the day (let's be honest, that's most days) I still post on the blog and flickr. Normally here too, though not always.

Shopping trip today - I liked the feeling of the car park...

I am gonna try to start one up again this week on New Years Day. I am curious what you all do to stay motivated? I tried to go with some ready made themes and I found it way too easy to say I couldn't find a shot to fit the theme and then not take anything. Then I got to the point where I was missing more than I was taking so I just quit.
I want to do a 365 project, I just hope I can carry on the motivation.

I'm starting this up myself on new years day as well, may occasionally post here as motivation. I've been carrying my camera with me daily for the last couple of months and finding I very rarely put it to good use, so hopefully having this project in mind will push me the extra step to start taking some photos

I've got a small website for myself that I'm going to post them to, but may also share them on facebook as I go along. Looking forward to it, I need the practice!

I am with you, I always carry my kit with me. But I tend to not actually take any images. I am hoping, but doing something like a 365, I will force myself to start looking for things to take photos of.
I guess we will see how it goes.

For me, doing a photo-a-day has really helped me "see" things. Not just photographically, it has helped me look around myself in real life and see the world around me.

What motivates me to keep going? I've gone on so long now that I don't want to let myself down. I've just gotten into the habit. It has almost replaced a daily diary, though with the kids being teenagers they are not keen on having their photos posted by their dad... but it is nice to look back on the photos.

Good luck to everyone starting on 01-Jan-2015!

your posts triggered the motivation for me to give this a go, I appreciate it (or will be cursing it in a few weeks, we'll find out!) ;)

I had a hard time choosing between the two of these. I ultimately slected the one above, as the one below looks too much like the one I did the prior day.
